Last couple episodes I realized it was gonna be Lane. shyt was getting too deep.

Don: "Take the weekend and think of an elegant way to do it." :sadcam:

And The Don is back: :smugdraper:

I don't wanna hear about that letter again.

Even though success is a reality, its effects are only temporary.

What's happiness? It's a moment before you need more happiness.

This. Don's Swagger is subtle but ruthless as shyt.

Not only that, the episode before they were presenting one of their top executives as a sexual predator that used prostitution as a negotiation tactic..

Jaguar most feel like all exposure is good exposure..

Goodell or Stern would never cosign this.

That guy wasn't affiliated with Jaguar. He represented the Car sellers association in the NY/NJ area.

Nah, he was a Jaguar exec, as the article you posted below confirms

Jaguar's thoughts on MadMen this season....

How It Feels To Watch Mad Men Total Your Car Company

Good look on this...was wondering what they thought of Jaguar's portrayal on this show.

From what I recall, he was the head of the dealers association.

He was, but I took that as being executive position at Jaguar, not a separate organization.

And in the real Jaguar's reaction, they call him an executive

This is going to be complicated. But our job is to promote the desirability of our cars, not the morality of our fictional executives.

I think the executive they were talking about was Lane's man with the gum on his pubes.

But that dude was the head of the dealers association for dealerships in the NY/NJ area. Remember...he said the Jag was just another car to him amongst many.

Ok, you're probably right if dude said Jag was just another car company to him, I'd have to rewatch that.

Killing off such an irrelevant character is what keeps this show from being on the same level as The Wire and Sopranos imo..Not a real brave writing choice by Weiner and seems inductive of him having 2 more full seasons to present to AMC...

On a side note: is there anything more useless than AMC's previews of the next episode?

They tell you pretty much nothing at all with their random snippets and are a complete waste of 30 seconds, smh.

It's just Matthew Weiner trolling America for 30 seconds. It's become annoying now, because I'd rather hear what song they play during the credits than watch Pete walk into Don's office and Megan sit and pout.

Rip to lane

Liked dude but he fuked up

Pride definitely is a mother, he brought this on himself. Seeing how easily don could cover his shyt should have made him realize it wouldn't have been a big deal had he just gone to don straight away.
Can't blame him not owning his problems, makes me recall his inability to man up as his dad pimp smacked him for being with that sexy Black girl

fukking brutal episode man, still... Lane trying to start the damn car with half his glasses

The office scene though, totally fukked up, dead Lane messed me up, I didn't expect him to be hanging there and he looked... like this

:beli:

We gotta remember him for this one:

There's an interview with the dude who played Lane here:Jared Harris of 'Mad Men' Discusses Sunday's Episode - NYTimes.com

Q. That terrible scene where Lane’s body is discovered, how was that shot?

A. They wanted the reaction from those guys in the room, so I was made up in the makeup trailer, snuck in through the back, hung up on the harness, hung from behind the door, and then they did some run-throughs to make sure they could open it with some other people. Then they brought the cast guys up and they knew I was hanging on the other side of the door, but when they came into the room they saw that for the first time.

Slattery normally finds out because he knows where the scripts are buried and he goes and reads them before anybody else.

Don selling Napalm :smugdraper:

That final shot... show is the greatest. These last two episodes :wow:

Lane had one of the illlest character arcs this season. Jared Harris deserves some Emmy love in my humble opinion.
