You know Pete is going to shine hard once Lane's fraudulent activity gets busted. He recovered well from that entire episode of him taking L's. Don loves him compared to Ginsberg.

Kinsey was one of my favorite characters on the show in the early seasons. People might have thought that the Hari Krishna stuff was strange, which it was, but it summed up Kinsey perfectly. His entire sense of self is tethered to a need for attention & validation. He's a hipster. It's his mission to be so distinctly unlike everyone else that he stands out. That's what, in his mind, makes him superior. I'm not sure if last night's episode worked as well as it could have but the "joke" of it was how Kinsey was practicing a form of a religion that's largely about subduing and rising above ego, to feed his own ego. This was exactly like his Civil Rights activism. He's so smart that he made a difference but his reasons weren't genuine and he didn't yield the adulation he anticipated so it fizzled out.

Kinsey could have smashed Joan, but she basically told him straight up "I would have let you fukk, but you have a big mouth".

Joan: Give me five reasons you like your black girlfriend, and her race doesn't count

On his wiki it says that he did have a romantic relationship with Joan.

Greg hurt her pride by doing the divorce first and she took it out on the secretary, who was just doing her job.

it's crazy how we rarely see Don and Joan together. yet they managed to have so much chemistry together this episode. and it didn't seem phony.

all i remember is her being his replacement secretary for a few episodes and also Don won an award and kissed her before going on stage to pick up the trophy.

Get ready to swim the English Channel and drown in champagne :smugdraper:

How the fukk do you tell people they're gonna have to work every single day, including the weekends, Christmas and New Years and people go :krs::jawalrus::gladbron::takedat::yes::boss::bow:

And they were more excited bout that than the bonuses :smugdraper:

Kinsey was one of my favorite characters from the first 3 seasons.. Whoever described him as a hipster was dead on..If the show goes far enough in the future hell probably be going on tour with Parliament as their crazy white boy roadie. He was always too leftfield for Madison Ave..

I think Peggy might be a female version of him deep inside...She will be burning her bra soon...

Just caught up on the last two episodes, the acting and quality of this show is fukking superb. I LOVE game of thrones and im a book fanatic but this season of mad men by far has been more intriguing than GOT. Its so well made, i already have it over the sopranos
