Just so you all know the standard that I will be holding him too :sas1:

Surely @Gil Scott-Heroin thinks he’s on this level :mjlol:

He was getting pre-draft hype as being arguably the best player in the draft.

His early season returns draw comparison to greats such as Jordan, Bird, LeBron, and Magic

And now you're posting about holding him to that standard as if.... that doesn't completely validate the pre-draft hype?

Be hyped as a great player and then put up stats that are in-line (slightly below) some of the greatest players to ever play this game and still have awful posters grasping at straws.

Meanwhile AssTrae was compared to Steph Curry and is currently shooting at a clip that would make Ben Simmons vomit.

He's averaging more points than Magic, More rebounds than Michael and LeBron, and slightly less assists than Bird in his rookie year.

And somehow @Squirrel from Meteor Man thinks this is a reason to up this thread as if he has some surefire evidence in his fruitless endeavor proclaiming that Doncic is a bust.

So you believe he’s on the level of Jordan, Bird, Lebron, and Magic, correct? That’s the standard he will be held to from here on out.

:russ:

I'm impressed he's putting up such good numbers. Since you're obsessed, you can go ahead and look through my post history. You won't see me calling Luka the next LeBron, Jordan, Bird, or Magic.

This is what your argument is, now?

This is pathetic.

To say he's putting up historic numbers that are comparable to greats and you're gonna be like BUT HIS ROOKIE SEASON STATS PORTRAYED A PICTURE OF BEING THE NEXT JORDAN.

Nah, you just want him to fail. Because he's not a Bust, now you'll shyt on him cause he's not the next Jordan.

Goalpost Moving 101.

Seek help.

What about the standard AssTrae is held to now? He's garbage level G league player efficient so I guess he's a smashing success by your logic.

Dallas Mavericks rookie phenom Luka Dončić is taking the basketball world by storm in the opening act of his NBA career. On pace to be a 2018-19 NBA Rookie of the Year finalist, are franchises such as the Phoenix Suns, Atlanta Hawks and Sacramento Kings kicking themselves for not pursuing the Slovenian point guard with the No. 1 overall pick? Pablo Torre and Mina Kimes of High Noon, Dan Le Batard, Israel Gutierrez and "Papi" of Highly Questionable, Tony Reali, Bill Plaschke, Frank Isola, and Sarah Spain of Around the Horn, and Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon of Pardon the Interruption analyze Dončić's impact and early success in the Association.
