I'm just sitting here laughing at the thought of Reed Richards wrapping around and squeezing somebody so hard their head explodes in a geyser of blood. Slapping R-ratings and inserting f-bombs, guts and nudity does not automatically make a great film. Also, part of the reason characters and films like Deadpool, Wolverine, Punisher.etc stand out in the first place is that they're Adult characters/properties in a sea of Kiddie/teen ones, but if you bring everyone else into that fold then you lose that novelty. In an R-rated superhero film landscape, Deadpool would probably have been seen as lame and mediocre. Logan probably wouldn't have received as high marks as it did.
