First two acts are good. Falls apart in the 3rd

It was the reboot. It erased large sections (or in some cases, whole movies like "X3") of the original X trilogy.

As far as what I'm seeing about this not being set in the regular X universe, good. That means they can do whatever they want, and "5 years after 'DOFP'" doesn't mean anything really. Prior to this info trying to figure out how they look so old and how all the mutants are gone was

Uh....yeah. Basically. That's the simplest way to look at it. But even parts of those movies were probably affected by "DOFP", too. I haven't watched those movies in years but the hard reset was "DOFP"....which ironically they fukked up again with "Apocalypse". Which is probably why this is unrelated to all those other movies.

The bad continuity in the X-films didn't really start till First Class. There are no continuity errors in the 1st 3 X-flicks. It was a mistake that Fox couldn't decide whether that movie was going to be a reboot for a prequel. So First Class made a lot of choices that fly in the face of what was established in the 1st 3 X-films.

but then with dofp, they basically erased the first 3 films as logan shows up and sees captain pickard and everything has been fixed and that timeline is now the new cannon



on another note, i have the marvel game for iphone... they just added old man logan... in his bio, I THINK, it tells the story of what happened
