I cried three times brehs. Seeing my man Logan and Prof X so old and vulnerable hurt me. This is definitely the perfect movie for people that hate Logan leading all the time.

This is what X-Men movies do well, they address more than heroics, they touch on life.

The father dynamics between Charles and Logan and Logan and Laura were great. Truly my favourite hero movie thus far.

Daken F'd everybody up.

Blonde dude should have been Gambit. Was hoping Pete Wisdom was in the movie for some strange reason. Idk just a weird feeling.

The tribute scenes to X2 (Iceman's parents fight scene) and X3 (Forest fight scene) were amazing pieces.

X-23 was adorable, she has a lot of charm as a 10 year old. All of the shizz she saw, my god.

I wish they had more than a few throwaway lines about what the professor did to the mutants.

daken? i dont remember him being in it :dwillhuh:

as for the bolded, james mangold said there was a scene in the script where it would've opened with what happened but he felt it best to take it out and leave it as a mystery until that pivotal scene where the audience figures it out

What did the "water" thing mean, he said it twice and i didnt get why that was significant

what they were doing was legal in mexico, while canada was a safehaven for mutants

so much was said during the movie in little spurts

It's the problem with having a realistic story within a fictional world. They didn't wanna have to outright explain everything because it wouldn't make sense within the context of the movie and tone, because it would take us out of the immersion of the movie. Yet it leaves a lot to the imagination and questioms end up unanswered.

I'm glad they left some stuff up for interpretation though because if there's one thing I hate in movies it's flashbacks.

That's what I've been calling X24 because honestly it works. He still messed things up and got dealt with by his sister. Just without his annoying talking. Daken through and through.

Eh, I'll wait for the Blu-ray, hopefully they have a cut of what happened or more lines towards it. I want to see more of 2029 X-Men.

I could see Warlock appearing if they ever continue this timeline.

Btw look and age wise Hugh Jackman would be perfect for Joel if they ever do make a Last Of Us movie.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven

I think breh had it right.

He wanted to take prof X out on the ocean in a boat so he wouldn't be around anyone to effect with seizures.

I can't lie the Wolverine fan in me wanted some plot twist foolishness to happen lol...I wanted some of that X3 action with somehow from the grave professer x switched Logan and X-24 minds at the last second so Logan can essentially keep living with a newer version of himself :lolbron: but then I remembered Laura domed 24 so I was like yea never mind :mjcry:

Anybody else feel like Professor X was the most tragic character in the movie? The final fate of the X-men was just :mjcry:

In the end, they weren't taken out by Sentinels, it wasn't Magneto or Apocalypse or some villain, it wasn't the government, it wasn't even that anyone turned evil...in the end it was just random human frailty...Prof X just got too old and lost control of his powers, and ended up killing almost all of his own students. This is a man who dedicated his life to helping his students control his powers and avoid accidentally hurting people, and in the end he fails to control his own and causes the very type of situation he spent his life trying to prevent. :to:

That's literally the most tragic ending I could think of for Professsor X.

I had to hold back a slight wetness in my eye when Laura was giving Wolverine his eulogy not so much cause he died but because it reminded me of how Marvel CEO holding back the X-Men and killed off Wolverine in the comics.
