Wolverine 3 Targeting R Rating

20th Century Fox revealed at Toy Fair this weekend that they would be targeting an R-rating for Hugh Jackman's final run as Wolverine next year.

This news follows the massive success of Fox's first R-rated standalone super hero movie, as Deadpool absolutely killed the box office this weekend. They previously dabbled with R-rated comic book movies earlier in 2015 with Kingsman: The Secret Service, which also turned out to be a surprise hit, though not as big a success as the world's new favorite merc.

The news comes from a pamphlet or catalog Fox handed out to guests at their Toy Fair presentation. The logo for Wolverine 3 is featured above the theatrical release date, home entertainment release date, and anticipated MPAA rating. See it below.

I'm hoping it will be an X-Force movie instead of Old Man Logan. I love OML, but there's just way to many characters owned by Disney/Marvel that are essential to the story. X-Force would make a whole lot more sense.

hugh jackman is one of the worst depictions of wolverine ever. he is like 6'2 and doesn't have the ability to come off right. they could at the very least make him look smaller or something but they won't even do that. wolverine is my favorite comic book character and they have done nothing but make him look like a complete bytch in all these movies.

Which is hilarious because he looks nowhere near what Logan is supposed to look like.

You take it too far but I get the gist of your point. Jackman is very likeable on and off the screen, has charisma and is a good actor so he's managed to get away with essentially making qthe character "his own" but who he plays isn't wolverine. It's kind of like a rich man's version of what's happening to Jennifer Lawrence she's not mystique they are just tailoring the character around the actress which is a disservice to the source material and fans
