This season was shockingly great considering how this really has no reason to exist. Outside of some of the laughable "suspense" moments (Angél on the phone with a gun in hand investigating a camper in a barn while there are like 10 policemen outside who could assist him) they managed to find a better balance between seriousness and fukkery than they did in S2, and Palermo, Bogota and Alicia are great additions to the cast of characters. For what it's worth, the writers of this show really know how to create some memorable characters (outside of the wack hostages) and on that alone the show could survive quite a bit.

Palermo is a violent motherfukker under all that polish but you really have to push his triggers to get him to that point
