It may be a longevity record and it did take him more games but to score over 33,000 points in a career is amazing no matter what. And just like Jordan would have more points if he wouldn't have retired twice Kobe would have more if he didn't miss a season, and if he was on a poor team earlier in his career he would have averaged more points then what he did. Not to mention the lockout years too. And while scoring this amount of points doesn't put him over MJ I still have to give him a big ups for achieving this milestone.

technically if you look at as just shots taken versus shots made, it still would've taken Kobe longer no matter what.
but that doesn't take away from the fact Kobe is clearly the best thing since Jordan. All the iversons, mcgradys, and dare i say wades couldn't get to his level.
