New Japan wanted nothing to do with Kenny, the Elite, and AEW after they all bolted to form AEW. Rocky got the dialogue going between the two to repair the relationship. This dream matchup for the ages and the Forbidden Door PPV, all the NJPW guys appearing on AEW TV, etc. - none of it happens without Rocky Romero's work behind the scenes.
