Not only that but it's supposed to move subs, movie theaters are barely open.

When they were open Aquaman and Joker both went over a billion..

These trolls posts ain't it :mjlit:
Nah he's right, but a little off base.... Birds of Prey just flopped... Wonder Woman 84, whatever the numbers were, was a shyt movie and trashed from top to bottom, from fans to critics... That was the flagship film of the DCU. Joker isn't a DCU film so that doesn't even count. DC has stated it will not tie into the universe either, so nah. Neither is the Matt Reeves Batman.. Which shows they can make great films, they just don't know how to make a great Universe

If this movie is still trash, it's just going to be another in a string of bad ones... And remind everyone how trash it was the first time. The next movie after that is SS2, and we know how the first one turned out. They really have a chance to put out 4 shyt movies in a row.... and then you better hope Flash and Aqua 2 can pull it back in.

But if this movie does great, it'll basically be the restart point and they can get back some faith in the next 3

You’re right, but the general populace don’t see it that way. In mainstream eyes Justice League = DCEU. Most people still regard Nolan’s Batman trilogy as part of the DCEU as well even though it’s not.

Sad as it is to say, most DCEU movies in the last 10 years haven’t received overwhelming positive ratings. It’s hanging by a thread at this point. To this day, I don’t understand how you can make a mediocre movie with comic book heavyweights like Superman, Batman, The Flash etc. on screen but it is what it is. After the flop that WW1984 was, this Snyder Cut film will be the make it or break it going forward :yeshrug:
I don't know why this needs to be reiterated in the year 2021 but critical reviews are nice but the only thing that truly matters for these types of movies is how much money they make. As long as CBMs make money (regardless of how well they are reviewed) then studios will keep making them and as much as people hate to accept this as true: most of those movies made money for WB.

The only people putting these movies into weird little boxes and deciding which ones count as really DC movies or not are fans online. WB considers Joker to be a DC movie. Same with the Reeves Batman and all the other Batman flicks that came before it. The original idea at WB was to just make movies with DC properties. Midway through Man of Steel's release they decided to try to create a totally connected universe on the fly and now they are basically back to the idea of individual movies that can include other parts of the DCU or just be totally insular.

They made a bad attempt at copying Marvel and now have decided that isn't the lane they are going to use.

And as messy as Suicide Squad was it made money.

And as badly reviewed as WW84 was it got HBO Max an influx of new subs.

Those are the measures of success not any of the other stuff constantly being talked about on threads on this site.

But it IS the lane they are going to. Nobody is putting them into boxes? They are the ones announcing the fukking boxes and telling us which ones go in which box.

I’d say it doesn’t matter. But we are watching Batman and joker and then we’ll have another dc movie with a COMPLETELY new bats and joker and none of what we saw will matter in the next one. We as fans, literally have to keep two timelines going. Maybe more since that joker doesn’t tie into this new Batman.

That’s hella confusing. If they want to cancel the DCU and just make movies again, why not say that and do it?

Lol @ "Joker Don't count.." "Matt Reeves movie won't count.. "

It's all the same studio dummies
But not the same story dumbass. Which is why when we watch SS2 and The flash and aqua man 2, it’ll be a totally other storyline they’ll be on

which is important because WE were discussing if the dc universe can survive another shyt movie. Not the fukking characters dc has. What idiot would think all of dc would be dead.

this is what happens when you pop up mid convo

Prior to that wonder woman, their movies were getting good reviews.

How is it confusing? Comic books have different timelines and always have

MCU just incorporated a different timeline into one of their shows.

Sony has a whole Spider-Man animation movie with different time lines

Doc Strange will have different time lines..

Who gives a fukk ?

Nobody cared that Joker was a different universe. It was a good movie. It was highly profitable. It won awards if anyone cares about that..

It did everything a movie has to accomplish.

Aquaman which is in the "DCEU" grossed well over a billion.

WW84 drove millions in HBO subscriptions

What "death" are you trying to predict here?

Obviously Nobody agrees with your logic.

Mass firings and changes at the studio and cancellations and quittings and now they releasing old ass remixes and new shytty ones

but nobody agrees that another flop could be dangerous for the universe they keep pouring millions into making popular

then you bring up marvel. A company that teamed up with a whole other studio to keep the story going. Who paid out the ass for another studio to not make separate films, but bring them all into the same universe. And your comparison is the other studio making a man animated film, as to why it don’t matter that dc is clearly trying the same and failing.

Ok we done here.

I doubt the general populace knows what the DCEU even is considering it's still not an official name or brand :pachaha:

When you watch a DC movie all you see before or after the movie is a generic 'DC' logo

Ok we done here.

Nothing you typed out made any sense. Warner Bros. fired a lot of executives prior to the AT&T merger. That's not an odd thing in Hollywood. This is an entirely different team of executives..

Any flop is bad but it doesn't mean the end of anything. All these studios have had massive flops over the years.

The only way the Snyder cut will be gauged is whether it brought in new subscriptions. They didn't spend a lot of money to finish this cut. it's about $80 million in total.

DC hasn't "failed" with movies outside of the DCEU timeline. The only movie that has come out so far is Joker and it was ( in part because of how small the budget was) the most profitable comic book movie ever.

Don't believe me? Read the source. We are now done here lol
