the story was the problem


You can tell it was written in the 90’s but it was released in 2006. Nah. Take away the plane scene and you don’t have nothing.

the first X-Men movie changed the game, but you still had studios trying to make comic book movies feel too campy.

Hey now, when he flies back to the city to save everyone before going to Lex’s island is underrated. Really creative use of his powers to save people.

I honestly think if you took that scene and cut it w/ the fight against Zod, you get a way more compelling climax. Superman can’t get the upper hand because he’s too distracted saving people from the destruction the fight is causing.

Yea...... I know we got enchanted with whole hero villain final fight shyt..... but they paid homage to a degree to Superman 1 when he kinda had to deal more with the elements and I ain’t mad at that

MOS was 3 Potential stand alone movies mashed into one.

Cavill’s interpretation of Superman was dry as fukk. And because there was no origin or character development I didn’t give a shyt about his story. Some would say you don’t need an origins story but because this was a completely new interpretation of Krypton and Zod, coupled with the fact that this was a cinematic universe, you needed to go there.


Shannon’s interpretation of Zod and his acting saved this movie. Then they kill him at the end which was stupid as hell. He’s the only character that made it redeemable.

think about it. Superman’s character was so dry that they decided to give screen time to a dead Russell Crowe

Yeah you're right. They needed to kill off Zod before introducing Batman since he's the weakest link. When your most popular super hero is also the weakest, you have to tailor your entire cinematic universe around him.

Honestly, I would've rather they did a full on Krypton Origins movie

It was to me, I saw two and a half minutes of "bleh" with a horrible cover of hallelujah. I get saving the best stuff and this trailer doesn't mean a thing but there was nothing there that made want to watch it. At the end of the day, I'll check it out of word of mouth is good

They took the trailer down over music rights and once that worked out they put it back up and added a couple shots to it. It wasn't supposed to be a new trailer.
