Nah it was because Snyder had released trash after trash and was on a trash greatest hit tour. Revisionist history would have you think MOS and BVS were some kind of masterpiece but those movies were terrible and lambasted at the time of release. All of a sudden Whedon is the fall guy who was the one that messed up the DC universe?
when prior to him it was one disaster after another. I know when Snyder releases his “cut” and it is equally as trash as all his other DC releases fanboy’s will swallow that shyt up and pretend it is the greatest thing on Earth.

That’s the amicable excuse to save face for Snyder, after BVS the studio had zero faith in him and his vision. Sadly the death of his daughter gave everyone and out and the studio changed direction pronto. Justice League theatrical cut was an amalgamation of both Snyder and Whedon work. Josh didn’t just come into the cut and shoot the movie entirely from scratch. It will be interesting to see which bits Snyder claims as his in this release.

He has been on a steep decline after the avengers, Marvel made the right call in regards to replacing him with the Russo brothers. DC should have fallen back after BVS and got Snyder out quickly, hell he should have been gone after MOS. You can’t start a universe on a divisive film. Imagine if Ironman was a critical flop and divisive among audiences.

2013- 2017 was horrible for dc. They're just now barely recovering. Man of steel was trash, Batman v superman was trash, suicide squad was trash, wonder woman was decent. This snyder cut will most likely be trash as well
