As a director, Whedon isn't on the same level of as Favreau and Snyder, imo.
Whedon's wheel house is young adult/teen dramedy and quips. Fine for Buffy and tv shows, but not so much for most comic book superhero action movies.

Aren't super hero action movies just adult teen darmedy for grown ups with stuff blowing up in the background ?

Watchmen is a top comic book movie, ahead of its time. I hated when I first watched because I was young but after I seen as it got older, its a masterpiece

The Director's Cut and Ultimate Cut are really well done the theatrical release is just OK.

When I read cut, what comes to my mind is just a few deleted scenes . Is it enough to make a whole different movie or just like 30 minutes of unreleased footage ?

Bruh read the thread. Snyder got 4 hours of footage shot before he left, the theatrical release only used like 30 minutes or something
