The street where Quinn cashed his check is on Myrtle Ave in Brooklyn near Broadway, I walk down that street many times over the years regularly visit the Checkers up the block, so cool when you see areas you're familiar with in TV Shows 
There's also a Popeyes on that block and you can smell the chicken cooking from outside the store 
Turn the cam to the right and you'll see the block where that scene was filmed.
