Hamas crashed out to stopped the normalization honestly, they attacked so brutally that they knew Israel was going to attack brutally back and some. This is just wishful thinking, when people go against a power that is clearly more powerful than them and more vicious they usually stand down. Yea a small terrorist faction may come of it but at the end of the day people bend the knee in front of great powers… there anre various examples of this.
Iran will try to gaslight some other group but at the end of the day, people see how they abandoned Hamas and Hezbollah..Hezbollah always was at the disadvantage because people in Lebanon really didn’t like Hezbollah and with Lebanon being a more progressive Arabic country they really didn’t mix with Hezbollah, a hardcore islamist terrorist group that used to keep them on the doorstep of war…. So I’m sure Israel had infiltrated their whole network with spies. Or at least had spies Lebanese Muslims and Christian alike keeping tabs on Hezbollah..These are not targets of opportunities Israel know exactly where everything is at and where everybody at.
