Read the article and I didn't know Waldron was behind this. Helps to have someone with credibility to help push for a S2. Starz needs diverse programming. Can't go all in on urban crime dramas. Need some diversity.

So this didn't get the automatic renewal halfway through that most shows seem to get these days? I hope i didn't waste my time watching season 1 just for it not to get renewed as this is a very good show.

It’s probably because of the budget. BMF for example has a bunch of no named actors they can pay pennies. The 2 main characters on this show are stars.

I think it was moreso her never seeing Crystal in any type of action.

Great first season. Reminded me of Friday Night Lights a lot except the drama wasn't quite as good (few shows are) but the wrasslin was way better than FNL's football

Jack wife plot arc was the only real negative. It'd make more sense how she was acting if they were already estranged. She seemed like she loved that wrasslin shyt in the first half of the show.

Hopefully it gets a season 2.
Jack need to let Ace fly (and inevitably fail) on his own.

I think we were introduced when it was on the cusp of becoming too much for her. It clearly consumes Jack's time and attention. I think she initially loved it because it's a major part of their lives, and he and their son loves it, but Jack puts it before everything..and she's growing weary of it. It seems like she's growing to where the mom is with wrestlin.

I find it tragic that Jack is in love with the sport so much. Ace, I understand...but Jack is like an abuse victim.
