this was with mild symptoms, and bird flu took the meds as scooby snacks. The sick kid in Louisiana is tracking similarly.

Only way the country shuts down is if people overrun the hospitals and thousands start dropping dead daily.

But even if that happens, I doubt the country will shut down on 2020 levels unless this flu is beyond anything we have ever witnessed.

I honestly don't think a shut down will ever happen again, but trump will be in charge and he knows how to handle a pandemic.
