I don’t support this. Non competitive states shouldn’t be early primary stop. Michigan would make far more sense as the first contest IMO. Large urban/black areas, large university areas for young people, and large rural/white areas.

In my opinion the first states should be MI, NH, NV, NC. I’d demote SC and Iowa.

I would support Michigan as well. SC is still a leap in the right direction as the city I live in has a larger more diverse population than Iowa.

More than anything I'm just happy to see a change and that people with power are paying attention to their party.

Couple things coming to mind.

1. Trump’s attacks on early voting are killing republicans in multiple states. We saw dems stack insurmountable leads in MI, PA, AZ and other states leading up to the Tuesday election last month. Ironically in Florida, where early voting was popularized by republicans, they did very well. It blows my mind that they can’t see this is a massive problem.

2. I’m starting to wonder if Trump knows he’s cooked. Maybe he beats DeSantis…in fact I’d bet he will. But he’s doomed in a general election. Another L and his entire movement will be dead. I’m surprised he’s willing to risk that.

MAGA already in fumes and even has TLR posters acting crazy. Trump winning the 2024 nomination would literally make the GOP commit that and tons of Republican donors will be flushing money down the toilet for a dwindling movement that alienates most demographics.
