So I thought that the show had caught up to the books already so I started reading through a timeline of events from before Robert's Rebellion - "present" time and I read something at the end that hasn't happened on the show yet

I've been trying to tell people this whole narrative about passing the books is wrong, Certain characters are ahead in the show, but certain characters and events are still behind. You can still be spoiled.
