maybe i had too high of expectations, but i thought this season wasnt that great. quite a letdown on what seemed to be building after season 1
I didn't understand why Tyrion was in such dire straits, holed up in some lil safe house either...Pops Lannister sent him there with the expressed purpose of keeping the boy-king and his mama in check, insuring somebody with some sense was actually there to rule...with him back and re-installed as Hand of the King, and the one actually calling the shots in practical terms, wouldn't Tyrion be good? seems to me there was enough soldiers there to witness Joffrey running like a lil hoe and Tyrion leading the charge to tell Pops what was what and have him make sure Tyrion was cool and Cersi didn't try to make a move on him
He really didn't try to take her on though, not anything overtly foul anyway...he basically did exactly what Tywin sent him to do, kept her and Joffrey in check and keep them from ruining everything until the war was won and/or Tywin could return to run shyt...I understand him having to go into hiding and all that if it were just Cersi and Joffrey calling the shots...but Pops is back, and while they didn't have the best relationship, from what I can tell he had gained enough respect for him along the way and knew Cersi well enough to know what was what...especially when his wildfire plan and late charge basically saved the throne until Tywin could get there with the Tyrells to wrap it upcos he tried to take on his sister, who tried to have him sliced up.

nah fam that was one of kingsguard, cersei dont fukk about.
Cause Tywin has no interest right now on fighting politics. Once he arrives at kings landing he realizes he's a part of the game too.
Look at it like this:
- Tywin's army is at kings landing (nobody's busting their guns nomore)
- Tywin restores faith in the gold cloaks (even the ones faithful to cersei ain't busting their guns no more)
- Tywin has the tyrells in debt to his family
- Tywin has the respect and fear of Joffrey
As of right now, you can argue Tywin is the most powerful in all the lands because he has the lannister army, tyrell army and kings landing.
Why create ANOTHER game of charades when he still has rob stark to worry about. For once there is actual "peace" and the game and all of its players have been exposed. The board is sitting in front of him right now and for the time being everyone is licking their wounds.
So what if the imp saved the city. His moral victory would be short lived. It's easier to silence him than to silence the entire "royal" court.

Thoughts on the episode

- Robb ... sigh. Its aight tho, it'll workout.
- I have this weird feeling Jon Snow will be the next king beyond the wall. I have no idea why. His story just got hella interesting tho
- Theon's speechso what happened, did his men abandon him? How could thye burn down Winterfell if they surrendered tho?
- Bran and Rikkon going to the Wall only to find Jon no longer there
- The White WalkersSo the ones on the horses are the OGs and the zombies walking are the turned?
Crazy episode, y'all not serious about a YEAR long wait right?
Thing is, that's not even politics...that's all in-family strife...he has his son who he sent to hold things down in his absence...and in all likelihood helped save the city , hiding like an enemy prisoner on the lamb fearing for his life, all because he fell out with Cersi over orders he gave him to carry out...even without all the newfound power he has in the realm at large, just as head of the family I'd think he could put an end to all that and have Tyrion good
