I like this season, but it's not nearly as good as the first.

I'm not sure if they botched certain storylines or if there's stuff that will be revealed later. (like Snow's stupid separation from his compadres and Melissandre and her demon child just obeying Stannis' request to fall back. Book readers have hinted at the reason why that demon doesn't just off all of Stannis'enemies, but the show has done a poor job of explaining this...tho, I know they may reveal more in time)

Melisandre staying back simply because Stannis ordered her to do so after Davos had that convo with him. The thing with Jon happened differently and I agree that it is kind of silly the way it went down on tv.

However, a legitimized b*stard falls in the order of succession at the end, after all trueborn offspring, including daughters.

So Gendry wouldn't have inherited the throne unless all 3 of Roberts kids died and both Stannisnand Renly too. No way is Joffrey legitimizing a b*stard brother so we can just toss out that 2nd line.
