I understand this. Renly was giving that nikka a handout but he turned it down and lost. That L also carried over to Renly. Had they teamed up Lannisters and Stannis and his red hoe would have been falling back.

Nah the dude Ned was dead regardless, he just chose the worst way to go out. Cersei hated his guts and would have deaded him anyway cuz in a way he represented Rob who never loved her. No way they could have coexisted...soon as Rob died, all ties were cut.
