I don’t think it was. The ringing of the bells signified a compromise and at this point she was sick of compromising. She already lost 2 dragons and her right hand chick. Plus everybody around her shyt talking her, questioning her authority AND the man she loves turns out to be her relative and the rightful heir to the throne. Those bells ringing were like the car horns beeping for a Michael Douglas in Falling Down. At a certain point enough is enough and just like her daddy once said, “burn them all” :fire:.

Nah breh, the bells had NOTHING to do with it. It was the watching the Red Keep :pachaha:

He sent Jamie to convince her to surrender. Escaping with her was part of that attempt to convince her. I don't think it was ever about sparring his sister. It was about saving the Innocents.

But...how? :dwillhuh: that plan needs Jamie to get past a siege and a two armys that want him dead - let's remember Cercei sent to kill him :dead: - AND do something that Jamie himself says it has never worked before (convincing Cercei).

You are right though, Tyrion was thinking about the innocents. I was taken aback by the "he loves his siblings" talking point and went on a tirade :lolbron:

i thought this was the best and most fulfilling episode in a while. actually felt like got again. i almost wish theyd bypassed the night king stuff all together but then people would be complaining about that too.

My exact feelings lol

Someone said that was the lord of light saving her.

:stopitslime: You know got damn well the showrunners have cambyed all of that Lord or Light stuff. :camby:

Also, the whole 'Tyrion letting it "slip" that he knew of Cercei's pregnancy' subtext was completely missed potential. It would have been satisfying to have him turn on her and sail away before Drogon got there, her watching him. Only for him to return to the Iron Islands and get snuffed out by Theon's sister.

So I said in an earlier post (too lazy to go find it) that that shyt would eventually go nowhere. There are a lot of times where fans find things that aren't really there. We give the writers more credit than they deserve at times. But yeah, there was no clever storyline where Euron realizes the kid wasn't his. That connection to the Tyrion line was an accident.

And the show completely forgot about Yara and Dorne (for now)

:mjlol:

they bushed 6 seasons of jamie's character development for a prophecy that was halfassed in the first place, and they couldn't even keep that consistent either

this shyt went from godfather to robocop
How exactly did they ruin Jaime’s character development? Is it because he didn’t end up a hero or kill Cersei?
