They seriously took one of like 3 or 4 arguable "protagonists" or "main characters" of the series, who also happened to be the last remaining actual King, and exiled him to a place that no longer even needs to exist.

Now that I’ve had a chance to digest, I’m not that mad a Jon’s ending. I think him ending up at the wall and with Ghost and the Wildlings was the best thing for him. I feel the most disappointment at what he had to do to get there and Daenerys dying. I think she deserved more than that.
