Republicans Juelzing. They don't really and truly give a shyt about the national debt. They just didn't want to help "us".

The lesson learned is the importance of the Senate and keeping all levels of government out of the hands of the GOP from here on in. Maybe not necessarily democrats, but how anyone can vote for the GOP after they showed their ass in 2020 is beyond me.
