I don't know if I believe skip.
Rick and his sister say that the shyt Skip says isn't what they experienced from their parents.
Skip is the only one of the children to say both parents were raging alcoholics, the dad was a POS, and that they were raised by a black lady.

raised by a black lady? :russ: :mjpls:

Who knows these days

But if true. You gotta be a real piece of shyt to lie about your dad drinking himself to death for 10 years on national tv

What did his brother say about his dad?
Skip Bayless: the most hated man in sports
Bayless calls himself the black sheep in a family that was all-in on the restaurant business. Bayless’s brother has credited their father and their Hickory House restaurant with his own success. Three years younger, Rick Bayless stuck around food. He became a popular television chef on PBS, published nine books, opened some of Chicago’s best restaurants and is a favorite of the Obamas.

He declined to be interviewed for this story but has never publicly lamented his upbringing and has cited his father as his greatest influence. Among the most well-known siblings on television, Skip and Rick Bayless have virtually no relationship today.

I think Skip is lying because he is shameless.

Yep, he claimed this is why he can sympathize with the "negr..." the black folks so well, he was raised by a black woman :mjlol:
Skip Bayless FTW? One-on-One With ESPN’s Top Trash Talker
“My parents were both pretty much disasters—alcoholics both,” he said. Although Oklahoma City was still segregated, he spent summers with Ms. Henderson’s granddaughter Audrey, who would periodically visit from Chicago. Mr. Bayless, whose brother is celebrity chef Rick Bayless, said that growing up around African-Americans was crucial in shaping him. “Everything I learned about life, I learned from Katie Bell—rights and wrongs, principles,” he said, adding, “I had a great connection [with African-Americans]. When we played the black teams, they always liked me. They called me Skippy. They would kid with me after the games.” Nonetheless, he hastens to add, “I don’t try to be black. I don’t want to be the white black guy. I don’t do that.”

Mr. Bayless has told his First Take debate partners—the majority of whom are African-American—about Katie Bell and her influence on him, though he admitted, “I don’t know if this offends them or if they take it the wrong way.”

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Skip Bayless: the most hated man in sports

Well technically he just never agreed or said anything bad. But he also never has said skip is lying about any of it

Trust if my brother was saying shyt like this:

In 2012, Bayless described the last major conversation he had with his father:

“This was the turning-point moment for me and my father, the summer I said, ‘I have to get out.’ I was working at Hickory House, his barbecue place, filling a truck with big cookers of ribs. Dad was drunker than usual and abusing me in front of the staff, throwing these scalding-hot cookers at me so I’d burn my hands. ‘What’re you doing? You want to fight me?’ I said, and he goes, ‘Yeah. Let’s see what you got.’ So we go to a back storeroom, and he takes his stance, comes at me with a big old roundhouse. I casually half-ducked it and creamed him with a right, knocked him into a vat of potato salad. He got up spitting fury and said, ‘Go home to your mother!’ Screamed me out the door yelling that. He died five years later, during my first year out of college. That was the last time we really talked.”

........ about my dead father. I'd not only be saying he's a liar in public to restore my fathers name.. I'd also be beating his fukking ass right outside his job

Well I think their difference of opinion is so stark and the fact that they don't talk at all, have no relationship at all, and don't seem to like each other or be involved in each other's life tells you what you need to know.
Skip knocking anyone out is a automatic ducktale to me.

dunno about that arnold jackson v. the gooch story he told, but i dont doubt he's telling the truth about his parents. that burden of the oldest often makes them the most honest. and like people have said, his sibblings havent denied any of the claims, soooooooo...

his act is tired tho. its cool on occassion, but im not finding clips of fox sports to hear skip bayless talk about the cowboys, pats & tebo. nah

i feel that, i basically FF any cowboys related topic. I basically gravitated more towards undisputed to hear shannon's take on race issues and him being unapologetic black and real. But his lebron dikkriding is disgusting
