Skip doesn’t really debate. He gives a take and makes excuses when reality doesn’t back it. Skip on a show is just spewing the same talking points and excuses. He can’t admit he was wrong.
Baker Mayfield lately is the perfect example. Shannon correctly says dude is just a guy. Skip puffs his chest every time Baker has a decent game and when the bad games happen he either shifts blame or talks about what Baker did years ago. What he doesn’t do is say “you know what I was wrong Baker is just an average QB.”
How can there be any meaningful debate when one side won’t even admit reality. It’s just decide a take give it and apply spin if it proves false.
Skip has always been that way though even during his FT days. This is nothing new with him.
Even now Coli posters are proving Skip’s point in being a draw by still bringing attention to the situation.

Why wouldn't you give the edge to an actual professional football player by default, the person who actually had to be surrounded by other aggressive men with real fight in them? Your average run of the mill NFL player definitely has been in fights or had to prove some type of dog was in them at some point coming up in the sport.
