The Cult of Meat with Extra Cheese...
The day before yesterday there were FOUR fukkING SEGMENTS ON BAKER MAYFIELD
It's laughable at this point. I know the summer is usually a dead time, but there's still other stuff that they could find time to talk about. LIV vs PGA, College Football expansion, a little MLB... I'm a Panthers fan, and I could do without the multiple Baker Mayfield segments.
This show follows sports black people are into primarily. Beyond that it's for casual fans who don't follow the leagues that deeply. It's laughable at this point. Nothing but Lakers for the first hour and half this morning
A - Westbrooks agent for 30 minutes
B - LeBron Drew League for 30 minutes
C - Why did Kyrie miss Drew League and workout with Lakers coach Phil Handy for 30 minutes
I liked Jenny as the co-host but I'm starting to come around on the host-bot they got now. She keeps the show moving along:
“The dew is flowing early guys. “
“Incredible discussion fellas but we need to leave it there. “
“Great showing from my Pelicans. “
They still do good numbers despite the limited topics. This is why this show, first take, firth things first, get up etc.. need to all take a month vacation from after the 1st week of NBA free agency till the 1st of August.
We need a morning show for men that includes sports but also hits up other topics. They still do good numbers despite the limited topics.
Frankly, there's nothing on TV worth watching on weekday mornings for men, so we resort to listening the redundant topics over and over.....and they know it.
I'm in my living room right now working. It's either another segment of Kyrie/KD on "Undisputed"
..........or "The Talk", "Divorce Court"
Michael Strahan isn't going to say anything worthwhile. Dude could be running for governor or some shyt down the line.We need a morning show for men that includes sports but also hits up other topics.
Michael Strahan, Shay Sharpe etc., there's definitely a void that these guys could profit from.
The current setup makes sense because in the old days, men worked outside the home and a lot of women were SAHMs. Now with remote/telecommuting gigs, dudes might still be the primary breadwinner yet be at home more than their wives. TV hasn't really adjusted to it. Spend more time listening to local sports talk radio nowadays. Football season is great with storylines and basketball is OK. Other sports just don't have "action" like that.
