Skip never said Troy was gay outright. I believe he said Barry Switzer called him up and told him in the process of writing his book that Troy was gay and then mentioned that the Dallas security team had specific examples of Troy being at gay bars and getting into altercations, so he printed it, more to highlight what switzer though of him.

As for calling someone a ******, again Switzer said it, an assistant coach said it as well, and beleived in it so much he asked the team to let him go because of it.
