The only way it happens is if Conor is let out of his UFC contract.because it's happening and is further in discussions than what you think

Dana will not do it.for the right amount of money he would, he's not getting anything out of Conor sitting on the bench for UFC 200
and it could be the reason why he's kept him out instead of that stupid "promotion" crap he was talking about.
Dana will not do it.

Because Dana still banks on the idea that his UFC viewers think MMA fighters are much tougher than boxers and would beat the hell out of them, even if it was a boxing match. Even though anyone with any sense realizes that a boxer should win a BOXING match against a non-boxer, and the same goes in the reverse direction, the idea is still out there, and Dana wants to protect that.Dana has already taken one of his fighters from UFC to fight in Pride before...it is not out of the realm
Dana has nothing to lose, he has no investment to put up. If Mayweather gives UFC/Zuffa a clean 10% of the purse that's all profit. NO effort, energy, or monetary investment outlayed by UFC, why wouldn't they do it?

you wouldn't entertain your highest pay ever, for a 12 rounder vs a guy who probably won't put your career in any danger. I'd fight Floyd for $300 bucks, because while he'd soundly beat me, there's no danger in getting my face battered in.
Floyd would knock ya ass out in 30 sec if you dont have the defense of at least a top 20 middleweight. He goes 12 rounds with some of the BEST FIGHTERS IN THE WORLD, ya ass would be status for $300
