Eating crow is a colloquial idiom, used in English-speaking countries that means humiliation by admitting having been proven wrong after taking a strong position.Crow is presumably foul-tasting in the same way that being proven wrong might be emotionally hard to swallow.

this fight is a sham but I wouldn't even be mad. floyd already beat his rivals in boxing, he's got nothing left to prove. this would be worth it just for how mad it would make MMA fanboys:banderas:.....there's some dudes on sherdog that truly believe McGregor has a chance. talkin about floyd has never faced somebody with a left like conor:dead:....somebody actually said it would be boring and a better fight would be conor vs golovkin:mindblown:........100% floyd not only dominates him, but puts him to sleep. it's time for MMA fans to realize just how amateurish their favorite fighter's are with the hands:ufdup:

I love boxing and i love mma

Two completely different approaches to striking. Boxers dont have to worry about leg/body kicks elbows/knees in the clinch and takedowns so of course the way a MMA fighter fights is gonna look off to someone who grew up on the sweet science

A mid tier MMA fighter who specializes in muay thai will chop down any top tier boxer if kicks were allowed, we'll see how well a boxer is gonna be able to plant his feet after a couple of well placed leg kicks slowly fukks his legs up

And same goes for any mma fighter who fights a boxer with boxing rules...hes going to get outclassed

The only way this fight make sense is if its kickboxing rules with modifications...conor is gonna get outclassed fighting floyd in boxing and floyd will get outclassed by conor in MMA

I mean of course , who remembers the Japanese guy who basically ended Muhammad Ali's career

Basically chopped at Ali's legs round after rounder and Ali couldn't touch him . And that wasn't even full MMA and the guy couldn't use knees or any other strikes.

So yes a boxer has a punchers chance but any skilled MMA fighter will stay on the outside and let kick a boxer to death or eventually shoot in and go for a takedown.

Its not obvious breh a lot of people dont even consider leg kicks they think as long as its standing mayweather or any boxer for that matter will ko any MMA fighter

they have a punchers chance but most MMA fights will circle and leg kick, even if they don't the whole clinching this is different with the dirty boxing and working for take downs

"Floyd actually came to my gym and told me, 'Freddie, I hear that Conor has talked to you,' and I said, 'No, he never has'. But [Mayweather] said, 'If he reaches out and wants you to train him, I would take that job because I am going to fight him and we can all make a lot of money'," Roach said during The MMA Hour, as quoted on mmafighting.com

UFC: 'Floyd Mayweather is a b***h' says Conor McGregor in latest outburst as fight talks intensify

Floyd Mayweather urges the UFC to allow him and Conor McGregor to fight

Floyd Mayweather has put pressure on Conor McGregor and the UFC to come to a financial agreement ahead of a potential boxing match between the pair, claiming that he is now “waiting” for clarification having “done my part”.

Discussions between the two men have been ongoing for over a year, with any bout between the undefeated boxer Mayweather and the mixed martial artist McGregor likely to become the first $1bn fight in history.

But negotiations between the pair have been steeped in legal complications, with McGregor tied to a contract with the UFC which prohibits him from entering into any other combat sports.

That has frustrated Mayweather, who is seeking one final fight to eclipse the undefeated 49-0 record he currently shares with Rocky Marciano.
