There's four new movies I want to see this weekend. Studios sucks so much ass at scheduling

There should be no movie trailers before noon. Just start the movie.

Recently got back into the movie thing. Renewed my AMC A-List sub. Been going on Thursdays when movies premiere cuz the mall that the theatre is attached to has a food truck event those evenings so I can check that out after. So far I seen the Mario Bros, GOTG 3, and Fast X yesterday. What I have noticed is the incredibly long time it takes to start the movie. Fast X was supposed to start at 3, I got there a bit late, but they were running previews until 3:30 it seemed. They be throwing every preview on there to fill as much time as possible it seems. Looking thru the schedule trying to see what I want to watch coming soon. Next one might be Transformers. Was also looking at The Flash, Indiana Jones, and Mission Impossible. Last 2 being ones that I wanna binge watch the previous versions before watching those. Hopefully other decent movies get released thru out the summer to make the pass even more worth it. Gotta see if I check out things that aren't just major movie franchises or blockbusters. I was looking at the ones coming up next week but not sure. One that interests me is Kandahar but haven't heard much. Gerard Butler decent tho so could be something. Might check that out.

The 🏝️ Of Relevancy
Just Watched Two Episodes Of "Cross" For Amazon Prime...Good pacing, great cast(surprised my boy Tom from The Blacklist is a villain), nice location (D.C.) even had a decent soundtrack or music bed or whatever it's called now...
Like it gets into fukkery off top.Cross wife dies in the first episode, her and another chick go "powder their nose " then all you hear is gunshots and screams...lot of political talking points and relevant things happening in society that reflect the show...later in the episode their is a dinner scene that reminds of some conversations you hear in barbershop and sometimes on social media and here, about defunding the police, and Cross response/reaction...From what I watched, hopefully this comes out this year

This summer has turned out to be pretty wack. All the movies have gotten mid to shyt reviews. If Oppenheimer and mission impossible don't deliver I'll be upset.

It's a shame because the spring was kind of fun film wise(I did enjoy guardians and Spider-Verse though)

I'll be seeing Past Lives this weekend and maybe Asteroid City

I don’t know how I feel about this year yet but I’ma let it cook. I do think it’ll get stronger as it progresses and hopefully July, with the movies you just mentioned, is the turning point. So many auteurs cooking especially in the back-half of the year to where I’m really anticipating them.

The studios not paying these poor writers has really put a wrench into things though and it’s such a buzzkill. It’s reminding me of the limbo state Hollywood was stuck in during the height of the pandemic all over again.:unimpressed:
