Having a fg scene in your city was a rare thing back in the 90s/early 2000s and SNK cabinets in the US were rare on top of that

You could go anywhere and find a SF2/MK cab, but an SNK cab outside of the 3-4 largest US cities??? Rare

There's a reason America ain't as strong as countries like Mexico, China or Saudi Arabia in KOF. Nikkas wasn't playing KOF like that here

Naw them SNK cabinets were everywhere like the other folks said. My raggedy ass Circle K in the rural Atlanta area had one with Samurai Showdown. I played Fatal Fury 2 in the bowling alley.

I played Samurai Showdown 2 in the casino arcade in Biloxi Mississippi! Forgot the usual setup but a good portion of them had multiple games. You would have the option of Samurai Showdown, Fatal Fury, or Metal Slug, which while convenient if alone, I often found I wanted to play Metal Slug but everyone else wanted to play Samurai Showdown.

Some of them home releases is where the disconnect came because many were stuck on that expensive ass Neo Geo.

Again where y'all fukkin up is saying they were EVERYWHERE. That ain't true

Atlanta is a major city. Everywhere implied that in the 90s you could pull up and play kof 95 in Minnesota or Kansas City

The words "SNK" and "Everywhere" don't go together when it comes to the US

Atlanta in 1993 was just as podunk as Minneapolis or Kansas City breh. And I ain’t talking Atlanta proper. My bum ass Circle K was in the rural suburbs to the south. And like I said in an edit, I also played them in arcades in Mississippi.

Again the disconnect is that them home releases were on Neo Geo but nobody was trying to spend 300 dollars for one game on that shyt. People definitely saw the arcade releases.

Alabama, Tennessee, and Texas

I didn't see an SNK cab until I was an adult in Texas

And there are Mexicans everywhere in Texas so of course :mjlol:
:picard: You were out there starving breh. Houston had all those 4 in 1 cabinets at Kroger’s, fiestas, & gas stations when I was kid.

Shouts out to Fiesta had COTA right next MSH next to XvSF.

On topic this EVO fukkin sucked; dead games getting rollback/no content, commenters sucked (especially Flabxiss and that white dude who definitely has pronouns) and god damn the ads. I remember traveling for work on a Sunday and buying WiFi on a plane just to watched EVO 2018. No way you’d get me to do that shyt now.

#fukkkFreshCut:pacspit: and that my hands is shaking song.
