I’m not even a fan of costumes, since SFIV.
When I saw Luke I instantly thought of Sean. Dee Jay makes sense too.
This game doesn’t make sense and is all over the place.
Still not sure who the main boss character is.

This game doesn't have any direction. Capcom is lucky this is a legacy game.
Look at the new characters for Tekken compared to this.

After watching the Luke revel video again, Luke plays like Asura from Asura’s Wrath. Asura deserves so much more. I haven’t been happy with any fighting game from Capcom that was released after Capcom vs. SNK 2. They lost all their creative talent. This hurts.

you are romancing the hell outta that era, yes Luke looks ass as a character Capcom was shoveling us reused sprites for damn near a decade. CvS2 was arguably a broken game and content wise was pretty shyt, weak endings, color edit, & 4 new characters from Capcom. That game offered nothing for casuals.
then SF3, people bytched about that for the shyt character designs. I remember necro being called a cheap blanka x dahlsim clone. The roster was small and people refused to move on from Alpha.
Finally nobody supported capcom’s other fighters; Tech Romancer, Plasma Swords, & Project Justice were all great games that got no play.
You don’t like SFV from a gameplay perspective cool, but Capcom creative team has given us the best design of characters since Alpha 2. To say otherwise is straight hating and sounds like Max rhetoric.

I find that hard to believe since he had a crossover costume. All cross over costumes represent franchises outside of SF.

Not really a fan of Max.
A lot of those other fighters didn’t get play unless you had a Dreamcast and was a hardcore fighter.
I think SFV gameplay is ok. As far as the mythology behind Street Fighter V is where I get lost, and no I’m not really fond of Street Fighter V new character designs and art style.
Capcom vs. SNK 2 and Marvel vs. Capcom sprite work were handle sloppy, I agree with that but it doesn’t stop people from running back to play after all those years since release.
Everyone clowned SF3 back then. They did not understand it’s new characters and the mechanics no matter how beautiful the game was at the time.
I’m more of a New Generation and 2nd Impact kinda guy than Third Strike.
That’s the thing with casuals and the core group of people who only play fighters, finding a middle ground and making everyone happy.
I enjoyed Dragon Ball Fighterz, and the last one before that I enjoyed was The King of Fighters XIII and that was back in 2011 but I still keep buying new fighting games to support the community.
Looking forward to playing Akria and Oro, and I’ll be purchasing Guilty Gear Strive soon.
