Played it a bit and it's pretty fun. Never messed with Samshow before, and won't be copping, but I see the appeal. I would if it was cheaper and I wasn't still focused on Tekken.

Theres this list which used to thoroughly break down arcade sticks
Its still kinda accurate but the main thing that has changed is Quanba is top dog now instead of madcatz and madcatz stuff is harder to come by.
If you really want a bat top without modding, the people in my scene have the Etokki omni Korean edition, which has a bat top in the stock models.
I personally think the best budget stick that exists is the qanba drone. They should be around $70 and they should be fine to be honest
The sticks I see most often in my local scene are the HRAP 4($120), Razer Panthera, Etokki omnis, and Qanba obsidian ($180 range I think?),
Those ppl using them are tournament players though.
I personally use a madcatz stick from like 10 years ago that cost $100 at the time and it still works

HORI sticks are great because the sensitivity of the stick and buttons force you to be on point with your execution. Any wasted movement might fukk around and get you some shyt you don't want
Also the space between the buttons on the hrap is great for double tapping. Buttons on other sticks are cramped in comparison imo
Hrap4 was my first HORI and honestly that shyt made me never want to play on a madcatz stick again
Qanbas are great too but I've seen them break down faster than any other stick in my experience. I haven't had one in years tho maybe they've improved
But HRAP4 is a goat cheap ass stick
Edit: Only bad thing about the HRAP is that door for the cord won't last you a month I promise. I don't know a soul that still has that flimsy ass door attached still. Just accept that that shyt gonna fall off 2-3 weeks after you get that stick

Still on my Mad Catz TE Gen 1. Change the stick and buttons when they get sluggish, that's it. Built like a tank.I recommend the HRAP4.

I don't think it's a trash stick by any means but ergonomically the hrap spoiled a nikka

I couldn't really afford the fancy fightsticks, I got myself one of those universal joints. the mayflash f500 works fine for me
