Over here in the UK, when we say a girl is fit, we mean she's fine. Nothing to do with actual fitness.

I remember when my older brother came from Spain for a couple of weeks last year, we were watching an English show were the guys are constantly calling girls "fit" and he was like "why do they care so much about fitness over here?". I was like, it doasen't mean actually fit.
