I'm on the fence with this one.

I don't like the idea cause it's just Cena poppin' back up for Mania. At this point, the most he could do is give someone a rub, which I figured he might do with someone like McIntyre or Lashley. Otherwise, not really amped to see him.

I like the idea cause the feud would/could have a good story attached to it... they're linked to each other in real life, their personas are complete opposites (Cena as the company man who loves the fans and Bryan who hates everything mainstream and judges the fans) This is about the only thing besides putting McIntyre or Lashley over that I would be interested in.

After tonight tho... I feel like the best move to make is take these next couple months and push that Kofi 11-year story running up to Mania.

They took him out of the cruiserweight division and had him pin Bryan in his second match on smackdown for a reason.

Nobody's saying he would have won, but he was absolutely being groomed for a program with Bryan.

Or he was getting groomed to get beat by Bryan. Probably on TV.

Damn that crowd was really behind Kofi. Haven't realy heard a crowd that into a face lately, outside of NXT. Too bad, there was no way Bryan was losing the belt this soon.

That’s all it was, this ain’t about vince not wanting to pull the trigger or about Bryan not wanting to job. It’s simply too soon to take the new belt they just made off Bryan.

Kofi wasn’t supposed to be this over.

Man this is why I'm against the "save every big moment for Mania" mentality. Yes they can run it back there and have Kofi win, but it's going to get lost in the shuffle of the event and not even close the show. Kofi winning here would have gotten the pop of the decade and made this EC one to truly remember.

Bryan didn't even get heat off that. The crowd didn't care.

I agree with this at the same time tho. This would have been the moment to do this. However Eddie got his first title win at a February ppv. But it took Brock and Goldberg quitting at the same time for it to happen.

I don't know why they have a pre-show for any ppv outside of WrestleMania and Summerslam, most of pre-show matches could be used as cool opening card matches to pop the crowd plus I really don't care to hear Sam Roberts and Beth Phoenix's opinions of things

It’s clear as day that Daniel Bryan is the greatest pro wrestler of all time and that they better strike with Kofi NOW

And it’s the wwe they will not give kofi the wwe title because they don’t push black wrestlers like that

just watched the main event.
i doubted he had a chance and predicted he'd get eliminated 1st.
then the match convinced me he actually had a shot to do it.
silly me. i should've remembered what company this was.

i'm back on the "these fukkers are never putting THE belt of lineage on a black man" train.

issa publically traded company first and a childrens tv show second.

it has nothing to do with race and moreso to do with what will draw in the most viewship and sell the most merchandise.

if a large proportion of their viewers are CACs and and Arabs then why would they have Kofi as champ who reflects visually none of what the viewers look like. Even when the black wrestlers like The Rock, Stone Cold and Booker T were champions even they played hot potato with the title reigns.

The same unpredictability happened back then and I still watched because the show was good and I was fukking 9 years old.

this is a show for kids and they will not notice the champion isn't black.

To me Stone Cold is the best to ever do it and he was black idgaf.

Just because this is the Coli doesn't mean you have to play the race card with everything.

Also, Kofi doesn't deserve to be the champ because he is a goddamn c00n. did you see his ring attire it was one colour tone from being black face.

Just watched the PPV, way too much on TV tonight

That mens chamber match had a breh emotional brehs Even saw Xavier wiping tears away when they were sitting on the chamber steps

I know Kofi was basically just slotted in the same booking they had planned for Ali. And I know they were in Houston who was likely to ride hard for Kofi. But at the end of the day the fans know the work this dude has put in over those "11 years.". There was no way Ali was going to have that much of a babyface reaction tonight.

They gotta strike while the iron is hot on this. Wasn't expecting him to win whatsoever tonight but Vince is all about them big pops and Wrestlemania moments, he's got one gift wrapped for him right here with a Kofi victory at WM. Would be back to back pop of the nights with Kofi and Becky and a certified classic with D-Bry. They're already 2 for 2 in a week. Save the trifecta for WM.
