Finished seeing it and I had a blast. Eddies talent is not to be contested, one of the GOATS for sure but throughout the whole thing I kept seeing Charlie as the lead and somehow made more sense.

At the end when I saw the dedication my eyes really teared up.

Great movie. Maybe I'm biased because of the whole stand up background but It might be the best Netflix banked.

RIP Charlie Murphy.

Movie was great and like other said, no clue Wesley snipes could be so funny. I don’t know that Joy woman but I was so drawn to her character and her performance

Great job from everyone involved, even dudes I’m lightweight cool on like Key. Lots of comedy, great performances, balance of heartwarming moments, and it seems like the cast simply had fun making this. This was also an interesting way to marry a biopic and documentary - was interesting seeing how the movie came to be and then how it was released/promoted.

Lastly, also underscores cacs don’t know shyt about the culture and what moves us, those a critic reviews remind me of the rotten tomatoes/metacritic wars waging in movie and music now

do yall think the scene outside the theater with the little boy was supposed to be like a nod to hiphop? I know they said something about it at the end, but i took that scene to be him and one of the founders of hiphop.
