This was fantastic! Funny as hell but also had a lot of depth. The film really paid homage to Moore's struggle and journey in the same way Moore would have - through humor. Even when it touched on serious issues it never lost it's undercurrent of survival and optimism. Eddie Murphy put his foot in this, but I have to say Wesley Smiles stole every scene he was in. I had no idea he could be so funny. Dude needs to be in more comedy. Everyone and their mama was in this movie - Craig Robinson, Mike Epps, Snoop, Chris Rock, Key... And they all did so well in their roles.

Overall, this was a real heartwarming story with a lot of humor and heart. I'm glad Moore was honored in this way. I think he'd really like it.

9 out 10 because it ran a little long.
1. So are you now hyped for Coming to America 2 (Eddie bringing this director and Wesley along for that)
2. Is the oscar hype real for Eddie and even Wesley?
3. How was Joy Randolph. I hear she's the heart of the movie.

1. I am definitely hyped now for Coming to America 2. In Eddie Murphy We Trust :wow:
2. I think the Oscar hype is probably real for Eddie because he really should have received the Oscar for Dreamgirls. I actually prefer the Dreamgirls performance, but if he gets it for this, I won't be mad. He really put his heart in it, even though it still came across more as Eddie Murphy paying homage to Moore than him disappearing into the role. I don't see Wesley getting a nod from the Academy, but definitely from BET. His role was *memorable*
3. Oh yes Joy Randolph really was the heart of it. Her character really embodied all of the lives that Moore touched, and she and Eddie had so much great chemistry. I don't remember her from anything else but I want to see her again in everything.

Yeah Wesleh Snipes killed this shyt. Completely lost in his role

Eddie Murphy felt like Eddie Murphy paying homage to Rudy as said above but it felt genuine and that he took it serious. He was still funny and the ending was great.
