I would just get a Roku or a Shield TV. I have a 2015 Samsung and whatever stops supporting it I'll just watch on my Roku. Smart TV apps tend to suck in comparison to a dedicated box and what it can run.

I'm waiting for HDMI 2.1 before upgrading the TV. Which Roku device you got?

I have a Roku Ultra from 2017. It still works good. I mostly use the Shield TV in my bedroom though. The dedicated set top boxes almost always get more apps than the smart tvs along get.

So only 2019 Samsung Smart TV's can download the Disney+ app?

Does anyone with a older Samsung Smart TV have it downloaded?

Funny I have been using Roku for over 2 years now because the software "hub" on my 205is Samsung is slow and awful. After I read this I tried to go into the hub and the button doesn't even work.

I have a 2017 LG OLED and it installed Disney + without even asking me lol
I planned on cancelling after the trial, cause I'm not paying another subscription just to watch old Disney afternoon shows ( I got the dvd's anyway). They didn't even put all the episodes up and they're out of order.

Esp once I realized they're not putting the Mandalorian out all at once. I'm going to just wait two months and rejoin to stream when it's finished, or just torrent the rest of the series. Told my kids to get their binge on before 11/15 cause it's a wrap.

Melody Time has Johnny Appleseed, and Pacos Bill

:wow:

I think they don’t have the new Mickey Mouse Club because they’d have to pay royalties for all the songs the kids used to sing.

Right now its great to have easy access but not worth the 7 bucks a month. Lack of new original shows and the fact that I can literally find anything on the app with a few clicks from my iptv I see no reason to spend the money yet.

I would give it time though - the nostalgia will wear off and Disney will be forced to add content the same way that netflix did.
