Does it botter anybody that Dex does Homicide Department's job 1000x better than they do? When Dex wants to kill a motherfukker he just picks a person, looks in their background, gets the proof that they are guilty, kills them and dumps the body within 48 hours... meanwhile the homicide cops be bullshyttin' letting crooks get away.
I brought up this up a couple of years ago. The Batman thing. He's 20x smarter than the police and FBI. Lundy was supposed to have some great crack nut FBI investigator of serial killers and lost cases but Dexter outsmarted him every step of the way. Debra didn't even really expose him...she just happened to go back to the crime scene as Dexter got too cocky and did the kill in a place he usually doesn't. But the way he be figuring out these crimes, find out who gets away with murders that they can't, finds evidence that Asian cat usually misses, and has almost this scientific acumen for reading a situation and getting what he needs out of it is hilarious. He be breaking and entering without no consequences or no witnesses

I was looking the first 3 episodes of Season 2 and how he tried to get that big Mexican cat was funny as fukk. Rented the horse tranquilizer, he drifts from the house party, and meets him in the street on some cowboy shyt, and almost got his ass jumped. Pure comedy.
Something else I forgotten about in Season 2 was how La Guerta was always trying to look out for Doakes and they were definitely close. She pushed him to be apart of the Bay Harbor Butcher task force under Lundy but he said he was too much a leader and wouldn't fit in a following role. It's fun to go over little details like that.
