Episode 1 was good. Interested in seeing where this season goes
I was actually really happy with the slow paced episode. Dude was moving like an addict and getting the fukk out of any situation that triggered him or redirecting any convo that could trigger him.
only the Harrison thing ruined the ep. nobody can find him but that kid can? fukking dumb. Aside from that it was a lot better then any of the later seasons.
Starts with him landing in a wintry setting, same attire he boated off in the hurricane (series og end).
Hunting something, we see it's a white stag, can't pull the trigger, collapses into snow. He has a one-room shack, ice fishes. Lives in a cabin.
Pulled over by an officer, produces a fake-his new name is James (Jimmy) Lindsay.
He clutches a hunting knife in front seat...the officer is his gf, sex scene.
Ah Barry (the Black guy exiting the shop w/ gap tooth), I went to hs with him
Jimmy (Dex) works in a gun shop, doing a Federal background check-I'm plot guessing but looks like he may have his first victim, FBI check returns a flag. Guy (Matt Caldwell) is painted as a "Morgan Stanley"/WS ahole who's a bit carefree with weapons/other people's lives and gets off scot-free let's see how this turns out.
House party Matt smashing, someone doing bumps in the bathroom, lol bro got cucked “dykkface” who never gets laid-he had something related to a terrible boat accident revealing more details (Matt’s fault, dykkface covered for him) yup we have our first target for the season.
He can get the gun cautioned about his alcohol abuse, ignores Jimmy and points it at him, Dex hallucinates breaking his nose.
Harrison and his sis are here! Dex is denying them oh this is good
Here we go, Matt is copping pleas and explaining why he's so shytty on lack of parents, became sociopath because noone raised him.
"Do you know who my dad is?" speech, stab to the chest okay
He's telling Harrison who he really is, welcoming him into his life. He's really influenced by Harry, will be interesting to see if he ever breaks from his vigliantism/justice killing over this series.
I am liking the plot and direction thus far. This is going to be good, betting on it.
Yeah, they were a little too close in his visionsI got a quick question for other people that saw it already.
Am I crazy or are they continuing the plot line that Dexter had romantic feelings for Deb? Some of the things she said to him imply that too me. His girl friend also looks like Deb and is a cop too. This was my most hated subplot in the show and I'm really hoping they stop trying to revisit it.

Yes, he killed several women. I believe his very first kill was a killer nurse, and in the flashbacks we saw him kill other women.Yes, I don't like those incest-ish plotlines but I think it's reinforcing how "different" Dex really is. I do think he truly loved Rita however. Has he ever killed a woman on purpose besides the one he ended up dating/the fire? I'm blanking.
I believe Dex has some sort of MI while high-functioning, unsure if it's shchizoaffective or phrenia maybe but the hallucinations, has clear, consistent if flawed thinking, those are his breaks from reality
