naw, you can still do strikes, the forge, patrol, and pvp to get higher...basically, once you reach 350, you have to do activities that have a chance to drop legendary and/or exotic engrams to get higher....bungie fast tracked cats to 350, but slowed the climb after that to a crawl cause this supposed to give players something to do till destiny 2 comes out....

Didn't play as heavy in year 2 once I fell behind, but was so deep in during year 1 I do not want to look at that
yeah I went up a few levels just running heroic strikes. no one is ever on/available to run archon forge with a breh and they haven't been dropping greens for me to solo so its a slow grind. finally got another skeleton key to drop so I used it to get a Grasp of Malak. no stability perks but its still pretty solid. just need that Devils Dawn or But Not Forgotten and I'm good.
I'm on the fence with Supremacy. the shotgun rushing is annoying, but I kinda turn my brain off for that mode. I'm also on the lookout for a good fusion rifle to see how it does there

Plan C/Susanoo, failing that Thesan from Gunsmith. Plan C hip fire can be deadly if you equip just prior to use, negligible charge time
yeah I been thinking about running that Plan C. Don't think I have the year 2 one yet. I hear the Trespasser does work too but secondary exotic engrams only been giving me 4th Horsemans.

Just got my Gally, should make grinding those a strikes a bit more enjoyable.
Zhalo (Chain damage + Bolts from the blue) + Helmet with Shine On Perk vs the swarm of enemies at the end = Infinite Tethers
Might have to replay that one down the line
