you dont have to do the raid to get better gear....you can get better gear from doing anything/anywhere: vendors, random drops in patrol, the court of oryx, strikes, crucible, poe/coe, etc....they've made leveling up so damn easy....also, just remember to wear your highest light gear when you turn in engrams....the system is setup now that the engrams are supposed to give you something a lil better than your level....

have yall got 'infected' yet?...there is an arg game going on right now where you can get 1-5 'infections' in game that are xp boosters....there is a website that is tracking the spread of it, and the more they spread, the more notes that are released on that site...most think this is the way bungie is introducing silva to the destiny world....
The greens and the blues will probably level up everyone trying to rush to 335 light. Better off collecting shyt and edging factons for packages if you're hardcore and care that much 
I got 3 of them magnificent glory and forgot the other one. Just playing crucible will usually net most of them.
I got my best gear from Challenge of Elders. WAY quicker than the raid, a lot more fun too.

The only boon you get is to get you to level 40. They had one for taken king which got you to level 25 i think which was the minimum requirement for the story. Gear you have to get yourself through what has been mentioned in above posts.

Aight. For a breh who chucked this shyt the bushes around the time they released the Taken King or whatever the fukk and it wasn't covered in the Season Pass.....how much DLC I gotta cop to get back into the fray if I wanted to?

to play the new dlc, you gotta have the taken king, and to play the taken king, you gotta have the house of wolves, and to play that, you gotta have the dark below...so basically, you need them all...depending on what you have, the best and easiest way to catch up might be to just cop the complete collection for 60 bucks...it includes everything, including the new dlc.....
if you already have the dark below and house of wolves, but not the taken king, i'd say look for a cheap taken king copy and cop the new dlc...
