I was hesitant at first, but I think the beta has me convinced. This game is great fun and it scratches the Halo itch I've always wanted on playstation. The only thing I'm worried about is content. I hope there are more zones on Earth besides Old Russia.

No lie, my first few crucible matches had me shook. I was getting wrecked and it felt like I couldn't kill anybody. The problem? I was relying on hipfire instead of ADS. I coulda swore I heard a dev say hipfire was as effective as ADS..:camby:Lies..

Once I switched to ADS the whole game changed.
I'm holding my own now.:win:

I forsee myself spending a lot of time in the crucible. Y'all need to stop messing around so we can organize some 6 man fire teams to wreck shop. I think I'm done for the evening but I'll be free tomorrow.

Fam, I hip fired this dude with one of the assault rifles from a good distance away. I know he was pissed. It took damn near the whole clip, but he went down.

But it doesn't really matter for me. Hip fire or ADS, I'm not all that good. As long as they keep me on the smaller map though, without vehicles, I don't mind. Having plenty of fun playing.

Be ready this Saturday, July 19, between 2pm PDT – 4pm PDT / 5pm EDT – 7pm EDT. Participants of the Destiny Beta will get the chance to take part in a special competitive multiplayer event in the Crucible that developer Bungie is calling the Iron Banner.

Competing in the Iron Banner for the two hour duration will be the only way, currently, that you’ll be able to test out two new Crucible maps; Rusted Lands, a location previously available in the Alpha, and Blind Watch, a new location on Mars.

In the Iron Banner, Level Advantages will be turned on, meaning your Attack and Defense ratings will have an effect on your character build. Limited time rewards will also be given to victors within the event.

According to designer Lars Bakken you’ll need to “Get ready to kick ass. You will be tested here unlike anywhere else in the Beta.” You can get more details in the latest Bungie Weekly Update.

Remember to be at the ready on July 26 for another special Beta event that Bungie says will begin at 2pm PDT / 5pm EDT and will yield “handsome and permanent” rewards.

See you in the Crucible, Guardian.

The Destiny Beta opens up to Xbox One and Xbox 360 players on July 23 after a period of maintenance on July 21 and 22.

as a hunter anyone have experience as to what is better for crucible matches... scout rifles... or automatic rifles??
