alot of people are saying this, and i really dont get it.... what difference does it make to you what new players pay for destiny... good for them, theyll be able to play a great game...

i dont get the outrage over something that doesnt affect us, 40 dollars is fair for an expansion thats atleast twice the size of the first two, thats all i care about.... i would never stop playing a game i love over an issue with how they price content for new users...

It would be nice if the retail game packed everything that we're playing in it from the jump... but for new players, they missed out on all the content over this year. Dudes who have been playing the game since last September got their money's worth and they have the gear/guns to show for it.

The new players will have a lot of stuff to go through, but they'll be noobs at pretty much everything for a decent amount of time.

im saying, i never got more out a 60 dollar game since halo 2, so im really not even tripping... if theyre trying to maximize their profits now.

didn't even mention new players breh. What I was referring to was the fact that there is no option to get all the good shyt in the collectors edition for people that already have Destiny and the first 2 dlcs

To get the class items, 3 new emotes, new shaders, emblems and whatever else is in the physical collectors edition, I'd have to essentially rebuy everything. why not have a cheaper option of all the extra shyt plus ONLY the Taken King for the ogs? to get everything Destiny has to offer that I "deserve" as a loyal Destiny head would bring my total to $204 CDN in a little over a year.

There is no way to earn the Digital Collector’s bonus items for those who already own Destiny, short of buying the entire game again for $80. This means that someone who hasn’t played any Destiny can come into The Taken King with a class item that speeds their own progression, three new unattainable emotes, and three unique shaders while those who have been around since Day 1 would have to shell out the big bucks if they wanted to enjoy the same luxuries.

Yes, they get the Founder’s set, which is a thoughtful gesture – but it’s an incomplete one. There is absolutely zero reason to withhold anything from its most dedicated Destiny fans, and anything short of offering full access to the new stuff for a price that doesn’t include re-buying the game is at best a seriously disappointing miscalculation, and at worst a cynical grab at more money.

and on top of that, I'm on xbox where content is withheld.

I don't see the problem here. Not like they're getting anything special. If anything you can tell whose a noob and who's not. I'm reading this like why would ANYONE want this shyt? This is NOTHING! I played MMORPGS Where it took me 3-4 years to be one of the first people to get a legendary weapon.. Then 3 years later they made it so everyone can have one.. Sad but it kept all the noobs in the game.

There's one guy in the game that has it on PS4. He's a veteran recovering from brain surgery and Bungie gave him the gun because he said the game helps him recover.

Again, I'm talking about whats being offered to the ogs, not what new players get. The pricing and amount of shyt they get ain't my problem, $80 for everything Destiny has to offer currently is a great deal. $40 for the Taken King, a shader, emblem, and sparrow ain't a problem either. But why do I also have to pay 80 for all the game has to offer up to that point when I already have most of it?

If newcomers are a priority, fine whatever, but why can't alpha/beta/day 1 players have access to all of Destiny's content as well? We are the reason it is what it is today for fukks sakes, but we can't get the collectors items, or the exclusive shaders and class items? And we been asked for new dance moves for the hell of it - they offer them now - but that means buying the whole game again? Whether these things are major or minor to you or anyone else ain't the point, this is bad business that can possibly get worse in their 10 year plan. Y'all shouldn't take the stance of 'who cares?' on this cuz down the line, it might cost you, literally.

Am I the only one who feels like the new sub-classes are a bit, well... lazy?

The Taken King is coming out a year after release, so I'm thinking there would be a complete unique class added for each character, but after watching the Hunter and Titan videos, they both only have 1 new grenade. The others are from other character types in the game. No new jump system either. The Armor/Recovery/Agility stats are the same as well.



If that's the case why weren't these added from the jump brehs?

Destiny has got major run out of me so far, but I ain't gonna lie, the way they have rolled out content isn't really a good look.

The game should have dropped with at least 2 Raids. Then when Crota's End dropped, it was easy af... after a few runs, people were whipping through it.
The multiplayer is getting modes that should have been in the game. Then they take modes/maps out of rotation on a weekly basis... we're getting 2 new modes in September, one which is just a TDM with Supers/Abilities/Nades turned up and a Capture the Flag mode finally.

The Taken enemies are reskinned enemies that are already in the game with black shyt on them


Imagine if more games started doing shyt like this brehs? Purposely holding content, so when it comes out the community goes but in reality it's nothing to boast about.

The new strikes are old strikes re-did with the Taken too.

I'm sure I'll be able to hold off on it, live life and not be up til 3 am strugglin on the new raid
