After getting all the Raid rewards for my Hunter this week except for the one after you beat the 1st part and not getting any gear... I decided to try solo it.
Ended up making it through by myself

I have this same rifle except for mine sucks 
I got "send it", no "firefly" or "explosive rounds" 
. Question, does high caliber rounds do anything in the crucible?

Nah I mean the first part where it's just "complete the Summoning pit strike" I gave up for today I'm playing Forza Horizon 2 with the homes bout to go all in tomorrow, it would be only right considering it's Xûrday
i think it used to but it was nerfed recently. just messes up their shot a bit.
shard that version of nitc. if its a legendary scout rifle without firefly it aint worth upgrading
Solo cheese the bridge without the warlock resurrection glitch. Did it with my Titan and it worked. Abuse it before its fixed brehs. Got full raid gear minus the helm which I don't need.

I still don't have a scout rifle that's worth a dam.... Maybe i'll just stack my crucible points and buy Saterienne Rapier. Its got outlaw and firefly and hammer forged (which is one of my favs for pulse and scouts).... that short magazine tho

COMET: Plague of Darkness * * - Release Date: September 2015
First, there appears to be a new destination, " Nave Hive "(Hive Ship) and certainly will be explored given the addition of a new Patrol.

New Public Events: 1
New patrols: 1
New Raids: 1
New PvP maps: 6
And not only that, the expansion "Comet" goes beyond the addition of new activities, also including:
(To be confirmed) New Subclasses: 3
New types of weapons: 2
(To be confirmed) Base Level: 30
The last item could mean that the exit of the level reached by the Comet XP gets up to 30 (and then 40 with the equip) or that the basic level of the missions will be 30, but it seems very possible the rise of the maximum level.
After the release of the expansion Comet we will see two more DLC, probably still in the early stages of development and where the contents are then to be taken even more with the pliers:
