Never was interested in this game since I knew it`d be completely based around online multi-player.

No reviews and the game being out is always a bad sign, also them having their TV commercial be 1 minute long and zero gameplay footage is another horrible sign.

No MMO ever has had a review before it's release date :stopitslime:

Looks like i'm seeing backlash which is common for a release this big. Probably means that I'll like it. Can't wait to get home

Is it a safe assumption that those who enjoyed Borderlands will like this game too?

the hate is so predictable
I can't even.
Like what?? This game oozes quality. I think games of such high caliber garner so much attention from a loud minority of people that just love to chime in on how they "didn't fall for the hype." They create a totally different game in their mind and when it doesn't meet that impossible height they trash it at any given opportunity.

I really enjoyed borderlands, but do not like destiny as much. The only similarity is that you play co-OP and collect loot. The mission structure and moment to moment gameplay is much different.

Although built as a co-op game, borderlands still has a somewhat traditional campaign that can be played and enjoyed solo.

In destiny the campaign only serves as a training ground and a way to level up your character for the real meat of the game, The strike missions.
