1. how many people can you play with on the explore/coop mode (idk what its called)?

2. Can you use your vehicle for travel in that mode?

3. are the spaces large and have the occasional boss like borderlands?

4. if someone has better loot will they have a huge advantage or will you be able to hang in there as a newbie?

Each planet has points you fly to in your spaceship, missions, a strike, and a mode called patrol which is exploring with some smaller missions. A fire team consists of 3 people but you can play solo, there are always other players around the maps, they can help you but you can't be attacked by them.

Theres a smaller vehicle called the sparrow, its basically a hover bike, this is what you use to travel around the huge maps.

Areas are huge, like i said I've put in 16hrs and haven't seen half of what one planet has to offer.

Gear, weapons, and level only count in the iron banner, which is a game mode in the crucible. Normal modes are there; TDM, Domination free for all, in these modes there is no disadvantage.

what am i supposed to be doing? I got a new gun and a piece of armor and the ship is repaired but the game isn't telling me where I should be going next. Right now I'm at the Tower.

Im on the ps4, so you hit the touch pad and hold triangle. That takes you to orbit where you can select a pant and from there a mission, exploration etc

i'm picking up my copy tomorrow. i ran with a hunter during the alpha and beta and been thinking of switching to titan. what y'all running with?

I rolled Titan and got him to lvl 6 but in the Crucible he feels so damn sluggish I'm thinking of rerolling Warlock

Explore mode supports 3 man teams. Same as strikes. Raids are 6 man teams.

Yea you can always summon the sparrow in pretty much any situation.

Yes the spaces are huge. It's a pretty large area with random events like one minute you could be playing around and a dropship a bunch of enemies come out of nowhere. The cool thing about it is these happen in the shared world portion of the map meaning there's places on the map where you'll see more than 3 people at a time. You can be on the map with like 8 people or more I think(They won't be in your party though and if you go on a mission they disappear.)
